Katie Scarlett hasn't done this so far. She usually likes to run ahead of us in the house and hide for us to find her. She loves to hide under the bed.
Sounds like Sonic is wanting to play with his Mommy. I am really not sure on how you could curb this habit? What if you did that leash training where you have a short leash (like 4 foot) and attach it to your belt buckle. I think it's called umbilical training. Then everywhere you go, he has to go. Start guiding him to walk with you at your left. Then after a while he will naturally always walk beside you like you want. I read this in a dog training book before we got our Katie Scarlett. We do the umbilical training with her some, but she has got to where when she is not in her 'hide and seek' mode, she will walk right with us. I'm not sure if it's just her nature or the training that did it, but she is good about walking with us.
Good luck to you! I'm sure these old pro's on YT can help more than I. I am still learning a lot of this stuff! Tee hee!
