I want Joey to think of grooming like a spa day not a trip to the dentist. Have you learned to do the nails yet? I did it for a while, but I hurt him once, and I haven't been able to do it again. Joey's breeder told me to hold the nail firmly when I'm clipping, because the wiggling of the nail is what causes the pain and to just take tiny bits at a time, but I still hurt him. So now I go to her and in between the vet does it. I feel so stupid that I can't do this |
I am def an overprotective mommy, i just could do the groomer....I'm pathetic! lol. Pita has gotten worse and worse with the nail clipping, she has def caught on. I have even tried one of those pedipaws, she squirms and wiggles and barks at me and nibbles at my hands....TWO of us cannot do anymore. I used to be able to clip her nails with large clippers toenail clippers, not anymore. I will have to bring her to the vet on friday to have them do it!
