They need to be spayed, but until then you can buy fancy pants or whatever they are called to avoid a mess.
Don't you still have to come up with the money up-front with insurance? Like all they do is reimburse you after? All insurances are different but I mean if your dog gets a pyometra and you catch it early enough to treat (because a lot of the time it's too late and infection sets in) it will be super expensive. Also, mastitis treatment is pretty expensive too.
I would say the best solution is to eliminate the possibilities. Spay them. Im sure you can find a low cost spay/neuter clinic somewheres. You just gotta look. My dog is getting neutered for $45.00 including bloodwork. |
