Katie Scarlett gets a major case of the zoomies right before bed. I have got to where I let her run as much as she wants and then we play with her toys for a bit. Then when she is winding down, I do a short training session practicing what we are learning at puppy kindergarten. All of this tires her out and she falls to sleep the minute I put her in her big girl bed. She then sleeps through the night. This has worked so far for us.
