The problem is that her bladder must be expressed and it is not emptying normally. I have spoken with my vet and others and my concern now is what Gabby's quality of life is. She hates the meds, she has a problem many days with her appetite probably due to the meds. I also don't want to think about what happens if this gets out of control and goes to the kidneys and the rest of her body. My vet had spoken with the specialist about this previously and we were hoping to get rid of the UTI so that Gabby could be started on a med that would hopefully prevent UTIs. We have never been able to clear it so that did not happen. My vet is going to consult with them again today to see what options are left.
This is horrible for me. I feel just sick over it all. I do not want Gabby to be sick...she is my main concern.
She and I could really use your prayers. | Oh No, I am so sorry that the infection isn't clearing and now seems to have worse. Sweet Gabby doesn't need this. Oh my after all she has been thru. Prayers certainly going out for Gabby and you as well Linda.
