For the last two years I have gotten Callie the lyme vaccine my vet recommends it and even with Advantix on she was picking up very tiny ticks and I was really worried about it. Maryland where I live also seems to have a tick problem. I think if you can prevent something with out adverse affects that you should. We as humans really have no idea how lyme or kennel cough or anything else feels to them so we should try to protect them against it rather then not and then treat them when they get it.
