No you misunderstand; Glucosamine & Chondroitin Sulfate have been shown to be effective for joint problems including arthritis. I notice a huge difference when I take it regularly and many people here give their dogs these supplements. I have been giving Joey these supplements for several years, hoping that his grade one LP would stay at grade one. So it's not because they said it helps with arteritis, and it doesn't, it's because you cannot mention a disease or your food will fall under the "drug" category. Foods aren't allowed to speak of helping with a disease. It's a technicality that has to do with labeling. However, the fact that some misunderstand this tells me we have a responsibility when we post certain things to make sure no one interprets it incorrectly.
