 New Yorkie owner
After losing my best friend Mighty Mo I was heartbroken. My husband begged me to adopt another dog so off to the humane society we go. I have never had a Yorkie before but Gizmo caught my eye. We set up a meet and greet with several dogs including Gizmo and I can truly say Gizmo choose us. He was so friendly to both my husband and myself. They said he was a Yorkie but I ask am sure he is a Yorkie mix about 11 months old. I have read as much as I can on the internet on Yorkie but I am hoping this forum will help me learn to be a great Yorkie owner. They said he was 4.2 lbs when they received him 11/22 but when we brought him home yesterday 12/2 his weight best we could tell was 9.2. Could he have gained that much in such a short time. He was neutered 12/1 but I don't think that would do it. I already love him so it doesn't matter what he turns out to be. Thank you in advance for all your help. |
