Thank you SO very much. I would have never thought about contacting our local animal control center to see what kind of reader they had! That is extremely helpful. My vet doesn't sell the micro chips. I was looking at one site on line & it was $19.95 for a lifetime membership and $22.50 for the Buddy-ID kit/preloaded syringe with chip. Great tip too on registering the # with Lexi's AKC paperwork which I haven't sent in yet (glad I didn't).
