I have been disillusioned by groups that I thought so much of starting decades ago, it did not surprise me that another group did not live up to what they originally set out to be. Some examples: ACLU, ERA, etc. I hope PETA denies the validity of these numbers, bc the numbers themselves do concern me. We just had horses seized from a farm in PA by the ASPCA. They were in horrendous condition. One was too far gone. Others are attempting to be saved. I am aware some in animal rescue will be too far gone; however, I think it was the large number of euthanization that was shocking.
I have been impressed by the extent some rescues have gone to save animals. I would hope PETA would share the same heart. |
Sorry, middle-aged moment.
Did not mean ERA; meant NOW.
