I don't particularly like PETA but I also don't think euthanizing is the worst thing in the world. In fact, some times I think it's for the better.
I get sad.... for example when I watch Pit Bulls & Parolees. It's a very touching show. The work Tia does is absolutely incredible, touching, and inspiring. But is it REALLY better for those 175 Pit Bulls who are living in cages potentially for the rest of their lives? Some are deemed unadoptable, and they stay there for life, aka "lifers". Is that REALLY more humane than euthanizing? In some cases, I think not.
I think that as long as an animal is peacefully exiting the world, that is what matters. |
