Just a personal opinion.....
I'd look at both males and females....don't just go for the very first one you see (unless you fall head-over-heels
!!!) See which one comes
to you 
All the dogs I've had....Females are more 'biddable' - Males are so scrummy for their mummy's.
Having said that, Harry loves Andy more than me....
