I'm really sorry for the spot you're in...I do hope things work out. Here's a dumb question - does an airline charge for a small dog that's in a carry-on size carrier? I've seen many dogs on planes that are in the carry on space under the seat, then after take off, the dog is on the owner's lap. Anyhow, here's a neat carrier on ebay - there are a few good deals going on there now:
