As with everyone else I say stay with the hardwood. If you have an older home the nicks and scratches with just add character to them...maybe have them sanded and refinished? My Aunt and Uncle had pergo put down in there kitchen/dining room...it show EVERY crumb and gets dirty fast...may be more durable than wood but, hardwood gives a more "homey" look....IMO...of course if you are going with a more modern look...maybe pergo is the way to go....is this in your kitchen? ever thought of laminate? we had that put in our kitchen and you have to actually get down and touch it to see that it isn't stone tile...LOVE IT!
