Did your vet agree that the salivary gland was the problem?
It's tough to see them aging, and I'd be sick over it too if it was one of my older dogs.
A&M is where you will probably be most comfortable given that an anesthesiologist is on staff, especially given his last issue with his oxygen dropping during the dental. You are fortunate to have excellent care available for sweet George.
