I'd block it after the experience I had last year with Princess as a pup. She knocked off about 15-25 bulbs if I remember correctly-they were plastic & she chewed the part you hook the hook to so they were def trash. Also, she chewed 3 strands of lights (unplugged thank God). By the time Christmas came the tree was only lit & decorated from the top third & up, due to her and me moving things away. Hopefully she's outgrown that this year but luckily I have the expen this time if not!
