You should ask your vet how long to use it. These eye ulcers can be terrible and the pups can lose their vision quickly if not treated correctly.
The eye drops that I have used for my pups when they had eye ulcers have atropine in them and are used more frequently than what you have prescribed. Hopefully that will put your mind at ease. Here are the directions given for those drops:
DOSE= 1-2 DROPS Q HOUR ON DAY1, THEN 1-2 DROPS Q 3 HOURS ON DAY 2, THEN 4-6 X/DAY. RECHECK IN 5 DAYS.
