My dad plays acoustics, but had played electrics back in the 60s. I think he has Ibanez and Gibsons now. Guitars can be really expensive. Oh, another excuse to link a Jack White vid.
That contraption he's playing in the beginning is a "guitar" he made in a few minutes. And in a cut out scene, he say's "who needs to buy a guitar?"
Oh and my I add, how cool is that, that your DD wants to learn to play the guitar! I wanted to learn, but I have abnormally short pinkys and it's really difficult/impossible to reach to play certain chords. Same with piano.
My brother has the musical talent, but never pursued it.
