I posted this on the card exchange thread, but meant to post here, too. A little "Before Christmas" message for all YTers! Enjoy the season!
'Twas the Cards Before Christmas
'Twas day after Thanksgiving, when all through the house,
not a yorkie was stirring, they were quiet as a mouse.
The doggies were nestled, some in Snuggle Sack beds, while visions of YT cards danced in their heads.
With girls in cute bows, and the boys in laps, all had just settled down for a long yorkie nap.
When there on the boards, there arose such a clatter, all sprang from Cloud 9s to see what was the matter!
Away to the threads they flew like a flash, tore up the comments, and the site almost crashed!
The fun of new friendships and buddies did show, making YorkieTalk shine with a "Ho, Ho, Ho, Ho!"
And what to their little brown eyes should appear, but the promise of cards to arrive for this year!
With the help from Susana, so lively and quick, they knew in a moment, she was a cool chick.
More helpful than most, with Excel lists she came, she PM’d and Emailed and called them by name.
“Now Remy!, Now Sugar! Now Uni and Mylee! On, Zoe! On Moka! On Jada and Riley!
Grab hold of some papers, and pics of you dolls, now work away, work away, work away all!
As yorkies that before the exchange whined and cried, when they met with an obstacle (like food that was dry),
They now were like angels, with hair gray and blue, and they all helped their mommies with stickers and glue.
And in a big frenzy, they all gave a “Ruff,” crafting and drawing on cards saying “Woof!”
As they drew and they glittered, adding photos all ‘round, they all made their dozens and to friends they were bound.
They’d worked paws to the bone, on every foot, and their dirty, mussed hair made each look like a mutt.
Every furbutt was ready, with clothes on their back, and excited they waited for the YT cards pack.
Their eyes—how they twinkled! Their smiles how merry! Their sweet yorkie poses, their faces so hairy!
Their cute little mouths were drawn up in a smile, and the beards on their chins, well some grew for a mile!
A Texas Toothpick they held tight in their teeth, and crumbs from Liva-Littles were scattered beneath.
They had cute shaggy faces, and round little bellies, that shook when they barked, like a bowlful of jelly.
They were teacups and teapots, each fine with themselves, mommies laughed when they saw them…sweet canine elves!
The cards were all ready for all on the thread, each made, sealed and stamped, there was nothing to dread.
They spoke not a word, but went straight to their work, running off to post offices, each little ‘york.
And sending each card, closed up with their nose, and giving a bark, sent cards to their beaus.
They sprang back to their homes, awaiting December, and the Holiday cards, they were sure to remember!
They were then heard to exclaim, on each YorkieTalk site, “Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good-night!”
