I firmly believe that the girls are like children and need stimulation and socialization. When we fly, if I can sneak Mika out of the carrier she is glued to the window looking at all of the wonders of the world below. SHe occassionally looks back at me like "LOOK Mommy do you see this?"
They had a wonderful time meeting everyone , and as SOON as we got in the car they were KNOCKED OUT by all the fun and activity. It is so hard to find places here in Memphis where you can take them where they are welcome.
This particular race was for a facility here in Memphis that helps recovering addicts. Many of them were required to come today and either run/walk or volunteer in some capacity. So many of them came over to the girls and wanted to touch them, but made it very clear to me that they were not allowed and their counselors were watching. One almost cried she wanted to touch them so badly.
I guess there is a reason that this is a rule, but I did not understand it. I think dog therepy would be good for them.
