Hi all,
I have been going through a tough time these last few months. My little Yorkie was taken from me by someone who didn't take in to consideration that he had a wonderful family that would miss him....
Anyway, a month ago I found a puppy in the ads and they stated that they were reputable breeders.... this has turned out to be untrue.
I was told that the puppy would be in where from 4-6 pounds. I saw pictures and even had my mother go over and look at him and get her opinion and give them a deposit. We went and picked him up at 9 weeks old and they had just gotten back from the vet...............they puppy weighed 5 pounds. I couldn't change my mind because I was already in love. both parents are 5 and 6 pounds, we even saw them.
Before we went to collect our new family member, the breeders could not get the puppies registered because they realized too late that they had not registered the male before the puppies were born. I felt bad for them..........and talked to another breeder and she recommended that they try to get them registered through CKC. So, I talked to the breeders and told them if they wanted to do that we would go ahead and pay for the full price once the registration came through and until then we would pay a little more than half. We even put a contract together stating that. Well, my bad for not being specific about CKC...... I am sure you all know what I am talking about.
They got them registered with the Continental Kennel Club with pictures because they never did find the paperwork for the male and now they want their money.......This I did not know until we paid them some money and got home with him........it is what it is and I will honor the contract. I live 300 miles away and they refuse to send me the paper work and registration papers. They want the money first! They have gotten quite nasty about it and it is breaking my heart. They say that they don't trust the mail and want me to meet them in person. I have suggested they send the paperwork through registered mail and they refuse. I am not able to make that drive at this time.
We absolutely love him and he gets along with our other dogs so well.... they have all adopted him and everyone is so happy......I weighed him today and at 13 weeks he weighs 7.15 pounds, so he is going to be big. He is very healthy and happy.
