Thank you everyone for your kind words. The vet is very careful. She does a pre-anesthetic profile which will tell if he has a clotting abnormality that could cause a problem during surgery. Also if he has any unknown problems with his heart, liver or kidneys. He will be under an EKG/anesthetic monitoring and receive post op pain med. He will stay all night so he can be closely watched. I do think the vet is very good and I do trust her, it's just that Scooter means the world to me and I can't help worry. Thanks for your positive encouragement. I feel better about it. Now all I have to do is tell Scooter he can't run and jump like a little flea for several days. He won't like that.
