I think if you're concerned a vet visit may be a good idea.
Also if you see this happen again, do you have a video camera on your phone. If he does it again I'd try to capture it, sound and all so that you can play it back for the vet or your trainer. Either could tell you if this looks behavioural or medical. It can be really hard for a vet to diagnose something without seeing the symptoms. While they can do general tests you could be wasting money on testing the wrong area.
Also when you said he turned around and bit you, did you touch him anywhere, or aim near a certain part of his body?? That could be an important factor, maybe something pinched him and he didn't like it, it seems odd that he stopped when you got home. I'd double check the sweater harness and everything to make sure nothing was pinching him or chaffng.
