I do understand why some people don't want to talk about money, but I really do believe we are doing a disservice to the breed when we don't. Yes, some people think it's crass or they don't want others to know and comment on what they spent. But where would we be in other areas of life if we didn't talk about the real price of things? For instance, I can research what a new Lexus costs and not be shocked when I walk in to the dealer. At the same time, I can also be very wary and know to think twice when the guy down the block offers to sell me a brand spanking new one for $500.
