My pups had it earlier this year. I would not worry about her swallowing it back down as long as she is doing it purposely and not choking on it. Antibiotics won't really do a thing for it unless as secondary infection has developed. Mine both got really nasally after awhile and were both put on ABs (some types are definitely better than others). It really seemed to help them They also took Robitussin (I want to say the vet said no expectorant - can't remember). If they aren't on cough medicine, it's something to talk to the vet about. It seemed to help. Talking them in the bathroom while showering may make them feel a little better. Otherwise, as long as all secondary infections are under control, I be prepared to be dealing with it for up to a month...
