When the puppy coat grows out she will be as shiny as she can be !!
Cottony coat matts REALLY much, is thicker that silky coat and not ''cold to the feel'' like silky coat is.

If you touch the coat with the back of your hand (slide the back of your hand over the coat) when she is clean and groomed, it should be a little bit cold to the feel, then she has the right silky coat type as the breed should be A yorkie breeder told me this (that breeder has owned yorkies for more than 20 years).

Fido has cottony coat, his coat is not ''cold to the feel'', not even a little bit.
He matt's like crazy and I have to bathe him every 5 days and brush through his coat with a comb every day !
