Well, after 3 hours at the vet yesterday, more blood work, x-rays, fecal sample,
poking, prodding, etc. there is still no obvious cause for her general malaise. Her stomach was filled with gas, so the vet is treating her for severe gastritis, amoxocillin (?) and Pepcid AC, and special presciption food.
She seems a tiny bit better this a.m. We are syringing water to prevent dehydration and she is eating small bits of boiled chicken. She did urinate a fair amount last night. So worried. I just want my happy little puppy back.
We'll take her back on Friday if we don't see a marked improvement. The vet said 2-3 days for the stomach to calm down.
Don't know what else to do. It is so hard as she is not showing major symptoms and nothing is obvious except the gas filled stomach.
Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
