I'm so glad you could join the conversation and learn something.
The difference between the golds and the chocs if they look alike in color is by the nose color. Some golds are dark and look choc. A true chocolate yorkie cannot have a black nose.
I hear* you can tell boys from girls by looking, but I don't know that seems pretty complicated to me...
