Brutus is not crate trained either. He started out in our 4-Season room but he has now graduated to part of the house. We have gated off the other rooms, but he has access to the family room, kitchen and a long hallway. I think he has been in the house for about 4 weeks and has done great. I don't even use potty pads anymore. I think that they all have such little personalities that it may be hard to judge off of our experiences. Give it a try and see what happens.
