Something is definitely going on and it doesn't sound like a behavioral issue, such as being scared. Anything different in your routine? Is she still refusing food? Is she walking normally? Any cries or pawing at anything? Has she pooped today?
Shaking and hiding, or removing themselves from usual activity are often signs of pain and illness.
What did the vet say about the slight fever?
