A good conditioner is very helpful, and leaving it on for at least 5 minutes helps. Also, make sure ALL matts are out before you bath her as they will just get even tighter if they washed. Corn startch works wonders for removing the nasty ones, just dump some on the matt, and work through with your forefingers and thumb. Make sure it is dry when you do it, don't water the cornstartch. Then work through it from the ends and work towards the body. The buttercombs from CC works wonders imo.
Also for her daily brushing, try using a wooden pin brush., I would stay away from all slickers or matt brakers if you don't want to break her hair and want it to grow in nicely. The puppy coats on Biewers can take over a year to grow out of, up to two years from my experience. You could make it easy on your self and have just her body shaved down ( leave coat on the legs and face and tail, and grow it ou t from there. |
