I had my AprilLove cut in a puppy cut from 6 monthsv( first cut) until one year, then i started growing it out. If i had to do it again, i would do the same thing, but i would not cut her facial or topknot hair, as that took the longest time to grow in, but well worth it. The body always seems to grow in quicker, but with a slow growing true silk coat, it does take longer. It all depends on what you are willing to do to upkeep her coat. The puppy coat is always harder to deal with than the adult coat and some can take up to three years to come into their true adult coat. Hope this helps
