No - that came out long after! But - we had a serial rapist in the neighborhood and I was young, 1st marraige, 1st baby, 1st house in a new state - I really worked at making me feel safe at home alone. (ps - guy was caught 4 mos. later)
I hate all these break-ins etc. They have all these Home Invasions down here right now. Gangs of some sort. Really scary. I'm old enough to remember not having to lock your doors....... How stupid was that? But truly, home should be a sacred space and people who break in should get in much more trouble than they do. I'm so sorry for you.
