I had that problem to but I was teaching NO from the time I brought Choppa home. I would say No a hundred times, remove and give him a squeaky. I did it a hundred times because he is determined. He goes back and back and back no matter what he finally got it so now I say No in a normal speaking voice and whatever he is doing he stops then moves away and lays downwith a look that says "Wasn't me, Mom" lol. Yorkies are so smart it amazes me. I hope the bitter Apple works for you. Try adding no when the your dog gets a taste of the Apple.
