I have also taken an exit, found a gas station that has an outside restroom & taken my furbabies in a bag. As a last resort, I take a second set of keys so I could leave my car running, if it is too hot/cold, with my Shih Tzu in it in the past while I quickly run in to do my business when there just is no other option being sure I am parked in a crowded area so someone would be noticed trying to break in my car. |
That's what I do, I find an a gast station with an outdoor exit. If I just can't make it and I absolutely have to leave Brandi in the car, I put her in her bag, put it in the back seat and cover the bag with a blanket. You should see how fast it takes me to potty

. I travel to Nashville from Delaware frequently and it's about a 12 hour drive. Most of the time, I am able to find some place that will let me potty indoors with Brandi with me, but there has been those time when I had to leave her in the car.
