How much room does your dog have in the crate? Crate training works because a dog's natural instinct is not to potty where they sleep. However, in order to make it work, they can't sleep at one end of the crate and be able to get to the other to potty. The crate should have just enough room for your pup to stand up, turn around, and lie down. Any more room than that and crate training may not be effective.
If your crate is too big, you can block off one side by putting a box or something in there. Or, if it came with a divider, you could use that too. Once your dog is fully housebroken, you can stop blocking off the other part of the crate.
