For Maci I give them treats together.
We just brought Diesel home a couple days ago, and Maci has been pretty good but she will hide under the table or in her dog bed and just watch him with no interest in coming over to me if he is in the room.
However say "wanna go outside" or "want treats?" she will run over right along side him.
So I try taking them outside together, feeding them at the same time, doing ther tricks for treats at the same time... and so far it's really helping. Maci has even tried playing with him today... although unfortunately I don't allow that because he is a big dog. But it's good that she is being playful/acknowledging him in a playful manner.
