I have had a couple of Ronco dehydrators - cheapO's from Walmart that worked great. I certainly got my money's worth from them. I am at the point where I would like to replace the old Ronco - it still works great, but I just want a newer model. I've spent the past several hours reading reviews and I have decided on the Excaliber 3900 series. It is rather pricey $219 at Amazon, but according to the reviews I've read at several sites, if you are planning to do "heavy duty" dehydrating the Excaliber beats all others hands down. I'm going to have to wait until I am able to start sewing again and earn me some $$ to add this little beauty to my kitchen
