It's probably the chicken making her itchy. Neither of my girls can handle chicken or corn, they get SO itchy
OP: Solid Gold is a very good food, though it gave my girls horrible gas, PEEYOOOO!!!! Every dog is different, so it's worth a try. Most pet stores will allow you to return the unfinished bag if your dogs don't like the food, or if it doesn't agree with them, for a full refund, should you need to try something else.
I've had my littles on Natural Balance LID (limited ingredient diet) for a few years now and they do very well on that. Duck and Potato or Venison and Sweet Potato flavors. The Duck one also comes in small bites, though the regular sized kibbles are flat, so easily chewed.
