This article really got my motor running. It's about a case in TX where a dog was PTS "accidentally" and the owners are suing for damages. I normally agree with everything focus on the family stands for, but this instance I DO NOT agree with them.
Focus on the Family Community: Finding Home: Is This Taking a Love of Dogs Too Far?
I commented how much I do not agree with his opinions on this topic.
I think that if someone put my dog down for any reason other than I have approved it was their time to go and not suffer I would be suing their pants off for wrongful death and losses. No excuse to be that negligent and kill someone's baby. It wouldn't be any different to me than if someone purposefully killed a child. Dogs may not be human, but they are important members of families and no one should get away with killing them because they "accidentally" got the wrong dog. NOPE you are to be punished for your actions and when you screw up that bad you should get sued or have a consequence.
