big Yorkies might look like small Silkies but their standard is different. Yorkies should be under 7 lbs. while Silkies are around 10lbs. Yorkies are supposed to me more square (heighth and length same) while Silkies are more long than tall.

I was considering a Silky but wanted something smaller, which led me to the Yorkie in my lap
