I totally agree with Ellie May. Dogs don't really have the spite emotion. Take into consideration all the rescued animals that were beaten and will still show love and affection to a new adoptive parent. Sounds like the vet doesn't have a clue or doesn't care. I ran into this with a vet last week myself. I would indeed find another that will test for the UTI. While googling about your pets problem, I came across some info too that said that something might have gone a little wrong with the spay surgery where a nerve may have been nicked causing this, in which case would be the fault of the vet who may not want to admit it happened. In such a case, it might be permanent. Not trying to scare you, but I would have this looked into by another vet. He can't be too up to date on his info if he claims the dog may be doing this out of spite. Read my post HORRIBLE WEEK FOR MOJO!!! & ME... I took the poor little fellow to one hum dinger of a vet and learned a big lesson!
