I wouldn't think 24 hours would be long enough to develop allergies, but I'd keep an eye on him. Not sure about the need for additional water, maybe just the temperature difference??? Its very common for pups to lose some of their progress w/ potty training when their stressed and after moves. Just give him some time to get back into a pattern.
