I read somewhere that back in the time yorkies used to be called silkies. When they got them smaller they started to call them yorkshire terriers. I also read that yorkies where mix from all sort of terrier. THey think it's from snauzer, cairn terrier, wire fox terrier, and some other ones. Strange huh? Back to the point. Silky are biggers. But i think they are the same size as standard yorkies. My yorkie is the same size as my friend's silky. And silky as much cheaper. They do look the same.
