From what I've read, a male and female will get along better than 2 males or females. Before anyone dresses me down for saying that, let me say this: I'm not saying this is correct 100% of the time as there are lots of different situations where that's turned out NOT to be the case. I did just add a male who is 1 to our home where we have an 11 year old girl for 8 years-ALONE. She is tolerating him pretty darn well after being ALPHA for so long, and given her age. We did have him neutered and I had also read that girls love neutered fellas,hahaha. Again, not saying this is 100% true 100% of the time. I did much reading about this very question and from most of what I've read, adding a male with your girls would most likely be ok, but just as another posted said, it depends on each doggies own personality.
