Animal Smiley 036 Reluctance to go outside in rain or cold

Hello everyone! I have a 9 month old yorkie boy, Brownie and a yorkie/maltese mix girl, Cookie. Both were doing well with potty training. We started with the potty patch inside. Then about a month ago moved it outside to the side of the house where they would regularly poop on it or in the surrounding gravel. They loved spending time in their dog run area and accidents in the house were rare. Then the weather changed. With cold and rain moving in and it being dark by 5:30 now, the dogs are reluctant to go outside at night now. Where they used to run to the door when we said "outside" they now run and hide the house. Which has lead to more accidents occurring in the house. When we force them outside, they can't wait to get back in. If I put them on the side of the house in the dog run area, they cry. Any suggestions? I don't want to bring the potty patch back inside. Will they get used to periods of yucky weather? Sonja
