I love that in order idea too! I have an older girl around 10-11 year doxie and Mojo is around 1 year. BIGGGGG age diff! Penny is tolerant of the BABY in the family, but will set him straight if he gets too crazy with her. Only thing is, he doesn't try to play with her too hard, she put an end to that right away, but when we play with him or when he first gets back inside from potty or play, he wants to run in circles and all over. He will accidently bump her and scare her. She might yelp and nothing has been done to her, or she is asleep under her fav binky on the sofa and he bounds on top of her to get to my lap or on the sofa back (his fav spot). We are in process of teaching him manners, but it still happens from time to time. I do put her bowl down first, treat first, and she is first out the door and back in. My main problem though is when he bounds into my lap before she can say hello to me first. I don't want to make him think I don't care for him so it's kinda hard to put him back down and pick her up. I guess it's just my own human emotions being projected onto him,lol. |
