Oooooooh, that's so sad. How terrible about the Great Dane, too.
I can't stand stuff like that, so I always make up a story to make myself feel better... like, this dog probably jumped into the road to save a little kid, who will be eternally greatful, grow up to be President and pass a law that all dogs have to be treated like kings, with lots of long walks, belly rubs, and steak.
