I was driving, had just dropped Jackson off for his dental surgery, and saw something on the side of the road. From a glance, I thought it was a deer. Then I glanced again and was like "is that a dog?!" so I stopped and did a u-turn and sure enough... a gorgeous German Shepherd. It was dead, as far as I could tell - did not even see shallow breathing.
But I called Animal Control who said they hadn't had it reported yet, so thanked me for calling. It makes me REALLY sad to think that someone probably just hit him and left him there, and did not even make a phone call.

I wanted to cry, it was just so incredibly sad. What a gorgeous dog, too. I grew up with a GSD so I have a soft spot for them anyways.
