My youngest dog is 13 months....I had been using Royal Canin Puppy 33 and then switched to Adult Yorskshire #28.
I am now trying to wean them to Paul Newmans Natural Organic.....My dogs are itching a lot too and have very dry skin.
If you are switching around foods you must be careful to slowly introduce the new one by mixing it a little at a time with the one the dog is used to in order to avoid digestive problems. Good luck.
